can't tell the terrorists from Sure, by now, everyone knows that the French are a bunch of craven, slug-eating cowards, yada, yada, yada. However, did you also know that they are, historically, a bunch of filthy, stinking, low-life terrorist scum? No, really! The heck of it is, I didn't' realize that until I heard what filthy, stinking, low-life terrorist scum the Iraqis were for reverting to guerrilla tactics against our troops. Let me digress…. Being really, really old, World War II is more a matter of memory than history to me. I can remember all kinds of stories about an outfit called the "French Resistance." You know, that relatively famous organization comprised of French soldiers and civilians that didn't wear uniforms, hid out among the civilian population, and generally killed members of an invading foreign army by means civilized people usually refer to as "terrorism" (when the other guys do it). In other words, they did to the Germans (and some of their own people) exactly what those cowardly Iraqis are doing to us right now! You must remember them. There have been dozens of movies glorifying their exploits… American movies. What really bothers me about this revelation is that both the United States and Britain supported these murdering, low-life terrorist scum (the French Resistance). We not only supplied them arms, ammunition, and explosives, we even sent people in to help them. That was wrong, wasn't it? I am an American, after all! I believe in the concept that everyone is equal under the law (equal protection). ONE RULE! ONE LAW! It is, perhaps, the greatest tenet upon which this country is founded. If there is an exception, there is no rule! Just because we thought (at the time) that the French were the "good guys" doesn't make using guerilla/terrorist tactics against an invading army right, does it? Hey, wrong, is wrong! If it's wrong for the "bad guys" to do something, then it's wrong for the "good guys," too! Right? It's time
to start rewriting history, guys. I think that if the American people
are going to develop a proper patriotic hatred for the French, it is imperative
for our government to publicly admit that the so-called "French Resistance"
we once supported, and even glorified, were, in fact and actuality, nothing
more than a bunch of cowardly terrorist war criminals of the ilk that
are currently murdering our brave troops in Iraq. After all, what have
the French ever done for us? If it weren't for them, our good friends
the British would still have their colonies in the Western Hemisphere. |
